Q. How do I check the version number?
You find the version by going to Help on the top menu bar. Select Updates. Select Program. The software connects to the internet and and checks for any latest versions. Your version and current version are shown with an option to download any new updates. Starting the version 4.3.2 11-17-2007 the version number is displayed on the top title bar.
Q. It starts downloading and then stops and says it stopped in the middle due to Error 12002
A. Time out error. Server may be busy downloading other requests. You might wait a while and try again later.
By design, Internet Explorer imposes a time-out limit for the server to return data. The time-out limit is five minutes for versions 4.0 and 4.01 and is 60 minutes for versions 5.x and 6. Also, the time-out limit is 30 seconds for Windows Internet Explorer 7. As a result, Internet Explorer does not wait endlessly for the server to come back with data when the server has a problem.
Q. I have a real old version. How can I get the latest version?
A. You can order a replacement cd that has the latest version for a nominal price at http://www.mechanicsupport.com/Purchase.html
or you can download the entire program from this link: Download Latest Version
