Software includes instructions on harness repair.
Bendix, Skytronics, and TCM use a part number 10-32326 spring that unscrews from the end. Burnt springs can cause engine roughness. Premature burning of spring is a sign that the resistor inside the spark plug has failed.
M-2929 part number for the Slick ignition harness electrode spring. This spring also unscrews from the end of the lead. Do not pull on this spring as you will pull the pin out with the spring. The pin is difficult to properly insert. See software for more details.
This is what the center conductor looks like in the Slick harness. The pin screws into the coiled conductor (very carefully) and then the M2929 spring screws onto the M1498 pin.
