Rough Running Engine
Contact springs are easy to replace as they simply unscrew from the insulator. Sometimes though they are difficult to unscrew. You might have to unwind the spring by bending it.
Excessive spring burning can be caused by a failed spark plug resistor. Check the ohm resistance of the spark plug. Compare with new or other plugs and replace any with low resistance.
On old harnesses that use the now obsolete ceramic insulator you have to replace the entire ceramic as the spring does not detach from the ceramic.
